Welcome to the Over 40 Fest, where we aim to give characters over the age of 40 recognition they don't always get in fandom.


This is the Dreamwidth home of the Over 40 Fest - a semiannual multimedia prompt meme specifically dedicated to main characters over the age of forty. Inspired by the amazing Older Not Dead ficathon over on Livejournal, we wanted to create an open fest utilizing the technology provided by AO3 to host a rather open ended meme every six months or so.

Over 40 Fest welcomes prompts and fills of all types including original fiction, slash, het, gen, and RPF as well as most major mediums. The only requirement is that the prompts and fills feature a main character at least 40 years of age. Easy, right?
